This is an absolute GEM of a product for young girls who are learning to curl their hair! We bought this for my 12 year old daughter for Christmas. She had never used a curling iron before and this was SO SIMPLE for her to use. The inside barrel gets hot, the outside cover protects from any heat. Simple to use, you just roll your hair by pressing a button and it automatically will curl your hair and protect it on the hot barrel. IT ALSO WONT TANGLE! If your hair even begins to tangle, it automatically shuts off and will release. We got the 1 inch iron for her and it has been perfect with some of the most beautiful curls. I personally would love the larger size. This is an absolutely PERFECT starter beauty product for young girls and I honestly cannot recommend this enough!

Once you learn how to use it, maybe a time or two, it is really fast to curl my hair. There are 3 heat settings, and I always use the lowest setting. I think you would have to really try hard to burn yourself, as it has a guard on it. I loved this so much that I purchased 2 more as Christmas gifts, and they love this too!
